The Data we collect and how we use it

There are three specific cases in which we collect personal data:

– If you register to our program of hosting a mini computer we will keep your personal information such as names, email addresses, addresses, phone number. Those information are kept in order to be able to contact you regarding the mini computers.

– If you register to our events: you have to fill in your name, email address, organisation, job title and country of origin on our Website through our GDPR compliant registration forms. This data will be used for the management of the event.

– We are collecting content automatically for research purposes on several platforms. Those data contains personal information :

    – Reddit usernames

    – YouTube channel names

Cross Over may receive information about you from third party sources including contractors and information available online in the public domain.

Who has access to your information?

Our website and dashboards are developed and kept up to date by Check First OY who has a consultation right. Our data is shared with the CrossOver consortium members. The members have a confidentiality agreement with Cross Over. Check First OY is responsive to the security of our website and dashboards.

We use the online marketing platform SendinBlue to send our automated email campaigns. Please refer to their Privacy Policy and Terms if you want to find out how they process data as Service Provider.

How can you control your personal contact details?

If you are a subscriber to our mini-computer program you can reach us to add, delete or modify your information.

If your information is available in our dashboard you can reach us to delete your information.

We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
